莲塘村位于安厚镇的中南部，距镇政府约1公里，省道平诏段穿过村境，辖5个自然村、10个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

建村时村前有一口大池塘，村民在塘中种满莲花，村因此得名。[1]

1958年属安厚公社时称莲塘大队，1984年改设莲塘村委会。再往前，1950年划归第五区安厚乡，1945年时属平南乡莲塘保。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积2.76平方千米，其中水田1050亩，山地2500亩。村东与安厚农场接壤。[1]
