坑尾村是东桥镇下辖的行政村，位于惠安县东部，地处丘陵盆地，又称坑美。村名的来历：许姓村民从邻村析出迁来，建居于一条坑垄的尾端，故名坑尾。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属三十三都梅庄铺。民国时期分属东岭乡的斌峰保与玉仁保。1949年冬起，先后归三区（东岭）、东岭区斌峰乡与玉仁乡。1958年并入燎原大队，隶属飞跃公社；1961年析出，成立东岭公社的坑尾大队。1985年起为东岭乡所辖的坑尾村委会。[1]
