茂门村是信宜市新宝镇所辖的行政村，在镇的中部。博雅地名网所载数据：全村分22个村民小组，396户、2156人，总面积10.6平方千米，耕地985亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国年间归下新宝堡，解放初与甘利合为一村，1962年分为甘利、茂门两个大队，1983年建乡，1987年改称村民委员会，1989年改设管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地名由来[edit]
此地属山区，气候温润，门前野生植物茂盛，茅草尤多，原称茅门，解放后因觉得「茅」字不雅，谐音改作茂门。[2]

茂门村年平均气温21.8摄氏度，年降雨量约1477至1985毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种植的主要经济作物是毛竹、八角；特色收入来源有毛竹、杉木。据同一网站所载，上一年全村农村经济总收入1132万元。[1]
