大凹村在鹤山市共和镇东南部，距镇区约4.5公里，面积11平方千米，共有13条自然村：永兴、曹坑、东胜、景华、新宅、石桥、新地、中和、大楼、麦元、石闸、坑尾、上兴。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村落处在山凹之下，因地形得名；又有说法称全村落的布局呈「月」字形。[1]清代属新化都，民国属第三区大凹乡；1958年为共和公社大凹大队，1983年称大凹乡，1986年称大凹管理区，1998年起称大凹村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年的人口为2780人，另有2320位华侨和港澳同胞。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年有山地7600亩、耕地2951亩（多为山坑田）、鱼塘835亩，种水稻、花生、瓜菜、豆类、薯类；人均收入6920元，全村经济总收入合计15330万元。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的大凹关帝庙是鹤山市文物保护单位。庙在清光绪二十二年（1896年）由乡绅与村民集资，在旧庙基础上重建，1948年修葺过；鹤山境内曾有二十余座关帝庙，现保存较好的仅此一座。[1]村中另有树龄约520年的古樟、约130年的细叶榕，以及细水桥、避雨亭等。[1]
大凹村2021年12月、2023年度（2024年3月命名）两度获广东省卫生村称号，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。在共和镇农村头雁擂台比武中，大凹村2025年2月获一等奖及80万元奖金。[1][2]
