五雅村在汕尾市城区红草镇埔边东北约3公里，原名康美峒，三面环山，2009年总人口1370人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村民于清康熙年间由福建莆田迁来，1949年后属红色革命区。1953年的名称是南雅乡，隶红草区；人民公社初期为南雅大队，至1978年才叫五雅大队；其管理区在1989年设立，村委会则在1999年成立。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
村前是谷地平原，东、南、北三面是山，最高的大岭鼓山海拔288.2米，在红草镇排第三。[1]农作物有水稻、番薯、花生，林业以水果和马尾松为主。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的广东省民主法治示范村（社区）2018年度创建名单中有该村；2020年12月获“2020年广东省卫生村”称号。[1]
