东坑镇是广东省东莞市下辖的镇，位于东莞市中部，东与常平镇相接，南连大朗镇，西至寮步镇，北邻横沥镇。全镇辖2个社区、14个行政村，镇政府称其毗邻松山湖科学城，以先进制造业为支柱产业。[1][8]

2025年全镇生产总值为274.85亿元，增速为15.9%。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，东坑一带在南宋孝宗年间（1163至1187年）开始有人定居，此后各村陆续立村，多数家族由南雄珠玑巷等地迁入后开基。[6][7]

百度百科称，清末此地归文顺乡管辖；1986年11月撤销区公所，设立东坑镇。[8]

全国爱卫会于2020年7月确认东坑镇为2019年国家卫生乡镇。[8]

地理环境[edit]

东坑位于东莞市中部，距莞城约20公里，北距广州约70公里，南至深圳约60公里；东坑大道纵贯全镇南北，镇内道路四通八达。[3]

辖区面积，据2026年东坑镇政府网为23.8平方千米；博雅地名网所载为27.5平方千米，两说不同，此处取政府网的数字。[1][6]

镇域地势西北低、东南高。东南部属丘陵，西北部为低洼的埔田，亭岗岭海拔74米，是镇内最高点。[2]

寒溪河流经镇境，全长59公里，最终在东城峡口注入东江南支流；东坑河为南北向的小河，全长约3公里。[2]

气候属亚热带季风气候，年平均气温21.5℃，年均降水量1620毫米。[2]

人口民族[edit]

东坑镇政府网所载2026年数据为户籍人口5.2万，总人口24万人。[5] 百度百科引用的是2020年11月1日零时的常住人口，为187877人。[8] 两组数字的来源和时点不同。

户籍人口以汉族为主。非户籍的常住人口中有少数民族务工人员，多来自广西、贵州、湖南，其中壮族、瑶族、苗族、土家族较多。[4]

2025年全镇生产总值274.85亿元，增速15.9%；规模以上工业产值935.2亿元，增幅25.1%，进出口额逾390亿元。镇政府称工业占生产总值的比重超过八成。[5]

2020年东坑镇地区生产总值为179.3亿元。[8]

镇政府介绍，镇内先进制造业的龙头企业以富强电子、东勤科技为代表，镇域发展以「百千万工程」为重要抓手，并提出“一河一路三片区”的统筹思路。[1]

文化[edit]

东坑的宗教以佛教和道教为主。佛教约在南宋末年至元初传入，明清时期较为兴盛。亭岗古庙是镇内记载中年代最早的庙宇，始建于明嘉靖年间，约在1522至1566年之间。[4]

明清时期，道观中以洪圣宫和二帝庙较为知名，建国后这些宫观多数被拆除或改作他用。[4]
