角社村位于东坑镇西北部，寒溪河环绕村落，与寮步、茶山、横沥三镇相邻。全村下辖5个股份经济合作社。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村址古称「恶蛇」，元代中期1323年苏可仁立村时改称「角蛇」，清代中期因「社」与「蛇」音近，改为角社。[3]
村方称村落开基已有七百余年，为苏轼后裔所居，村内有苏氏宗祠。[1]
面积一说为2.3平方公里（东坑镇政府网），一说为5.7平方千米（百度百科）。两说并列。[1][2]
经济[edit]
角社融合发展片区内有新能德科技产业园、半导体产业园等，东坑镇政府网称片区汇聚规模以上企业约40家。[1]
村集体引入了两个重点项目：一是佰事达新材料的配套企业，二是华夏鲲鹏南部产业基地。另有一座投资约3.8亿元、占地72亩的半导体产业园已完工验收。[1]
文物与民俗[edit]
据东坑镇政府网，村中留存七处文物古迹，包括苏氏宗祠和东门楼，另有百年古树；民俗方面保留着正月十五的「结灯」与二月初二的「卖身节」。[1]
