新村位于儒洞镇境内，属村庄，是镇下辖的行政村。博雅地名网的页面写作新村村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，此地属阳江县第七区；1953年改入第十七区，称寿场乡。1956年归儒洞区，1958年先后隶属儒洞乡与儒洞人民公社，1959年，这里的建制换作寿场生产大队。[2]

1960年，原寿场大队一分为二，析出新村与后山两个大队；1961年两队合成一个新村生产大队。1983年又设新村乡，归儒洞区管理；1987年2月转为新村村委会，划归儒洞镇。1988年阳江与阳西分设，新村改属阳西县儒洞镇。1989年设为新村管理区，1999年村委会复设，名称延续至今。[2]

近年的荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，新村村名列2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2021年12月，新村与长角村、南安村等一并列入「2021年度阳江市卫生村」名单。2026年3月公布的第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇中，有新村村。[1]
