笏朝村是雅韶镇辖下的行政村，村名来自村中大王庙与村前小山的形势。1999年设立村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村中有大王庙，村前小山当地称“石嘴”，形似笏板，朝向庙门，四周山势环抱，村名因此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
笏朝在民国初至解放初为笏朝乡，1958年成了笏朝大队，归大沟公社管。1983年大队裁撤，改设乡政府，归雅韶区；1986年起为笏朝管理区；1999年改为笏朝村民委员会。[1][2]
近年发展[edit]
近年来，雅韶镇以笏朝村为整治样板。该村借绿美乡村建设之机，将池塘边的古榕树重新修剪，清理周边闲置土地后铺设步道，并把清拆下来的旧材料改作村中的小公园座凳与围墙。[3]
2023年4月，笏朝村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；2023年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月，该村进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」的创建名单；2024年11月，被确定为「2024年广东省“美丽庭院”特色村」。[1]
