白沙村在蓝塘镇，地势低洼，洪水自上游冲来、停积下的河沙洁白，村因此得名。[1]2019年镇里把它列为省定贫困村之一，建设新农村示范村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年白沙并在河塘大队里；1961年分设白沙大队，1963年回并河塘，1976年才永久分出，重设白沙大队。1983年定为白沙乡，1989年设管理区，1999年成立白沙村民委员会，此名沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

据镇政府2019年7月的总结，白沙与双兴、砂塘、建联4个省定贫困村在创建社会主义新农村示范村：4村已建成垃圾屋36个，安装路灯916盏，完成外立面改造465户；白沙和双兴的污水处理设施工程进度超过85%，集中供水工程进度超过90%。[2]
