石城村位于蓝塘镇，传说此地石头层层叠叠，明代又筑过一道城墙，故称石城。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
石城1958年为蓝塘公社石城大队；1961年至1962年间另设石城公社，石城大队划入，1963年该公社撤销，回属蓝塘公社。1983年成立石城乡，1987年改称村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年撤区、设石城村委会，名称沿用。[1]
石城村在2019年10月公布的「2019年广东省卫生村」名单内。[1]
文化[edit]
石城村1962年组建过花朝戏剧团，属县花朝戏剧团带领，后中断；2018年起，村民成立山茶花剧团，在县文广新局、县花朝戏剧团和镇文化站指导下重新排练，想把客家文化和新内容带进花朝戏。[2]
