东安村是莲都镇东部的山区行政村，距镇政府10公里，分设11个村民小组，居民1002人，辖区46平方公里。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
1961年以茅坪、白沙、深埇三个农业社并为一社，定名东安。[1]1950年设乡民会，1953年改乡人民政府，1955年为低级社，1957年为高级社，1958年为生产大队，1987年改称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
林木主要是松木、杉木和桉树，大树较多；村民以采松脂、外出务工和种柑橘为主要收入。[1]2019年9月，该村名列2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
