留塘村在蓝塘镇，早年种甘蔗制糖，每到收成要留下蔗种，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
留塘1958年随砂塘大队归蓝塘公社；1961年分出为留塘大队，1963年并回砂塘，1975年重设。1983年为蓝塘区的留塘乡，1987年归蓝塘镇，称留塘村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年成立留塘村委会，沿用至今。[1]
留塘村是2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），也在「2019年广东省卫生村」名单内（2019年10月公布）。[1]
经济[edit]
2004年镇概况记有留塘村的蜜枣基地开工建设。[2]
