历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村在平海镇东面，居民有郑、吕、钟、陈等姓，取和睦相处之意，得名东和。[1]

1959年设立东和大队；1983年改设为乡；1987年3月据惠东府函〔1987〕23号批复定名东和村委会；1989年改设管理区；1998年改设村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，东和村被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
