东和村是封开县杏花镇的行政村，属广东省肇庆市。是镇里较偏远的村。位于镇北部，面积约15平方公里，分12个村民小组，博雅地名网记人口1800人，离镇政府驻地5公里。[1]

该村的建制自1950年的乡民会起，依次经乡政府（1953年）、初级社（1955年）、高级社（1957年）、生产大队（1958年），到1987年称村民委员会。[2]
地名由来[edit]
乡人民政府成立后定名东和，寄托了东方人永远和平幸福的愿望。[3]
