历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村落所占地方不大，一条河自南山流过村边，河中尽是圆形石块，因此取名磜头；“磜”字当地习惯读音与“寨”相同。该网页的标题写作“寨头村”。[1]
1959年设磜村大队，1983年改设为乡，1987年设村民委员会；1991年12月25日惠东府办〔1991〕88号文批准成立磜头管理区，1998年起为村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，磜头村被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
