大垌村是广东省茂名市信宜市水口镇辖下的行政村。据博雅地名网所载村情资料（未注明年份），全村设12个村民小组，在册821户、3741人，总面积4.2平方千米，耕地1682亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：村里有一片较大的垌地，居住人口很多，因而叫大垌[1]。

建置沿革：民国后期属北界区六承南乡第一村第一堡，其后1957年为镇隆公社大垌管理区办事处，随后1958年属上游公社，再后1959年为双狮公社大垌大队，接着1963年为水口公社大垌大队，又1983年起改设乡一级政权，其后其后几经改称，随后1999年起定名大垌村民委员会[1]。

荣誉：2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；广东省农业农村厅2021年9月发布的「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村名单」中有大垌村（砂糖桔）[1]。

经济[edit]

村里的主要经济作物是香蕉、龙眼、荔枝和水稻[1]。据村情资料，上一年全村经济总收入约1300多万元，村里推广香蕉，办技术培训班管理龙眼、荔枝，并树立种养大户带动村民[1]。
