赤坎村是广东省茂名市信宜市水口镇辖下的行政村。据博雅地名网所载村情资料（未注明年份），全村设13个村民小组，在册461户、2485人，总面积3.5平方千米，耕地1299亩[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来：解放前村里没有水利设施，土地干旱，崩坎多，山岭光秃，因而叫赤坎[1]。
建置沿革：民国后期属良垌乡第五堡，其后解放初改为第五村，随后1952年与横茶（第六村）合并称横茶村，再后1959年分出赤坎大队，接着1983年起改设乡一级政权，又其后几经改称，其后1999年起定名赤坎村民委员会[1]。
荣誉：2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
经济[edit]
村里的主要经济作物是香蕉、水稻、龙眼和荔枝，特色收入有香蕉和蔬菜[1]。据村情资料，上一年全村经济总收入约860多万元，村里加强班子建设和劳动技能培训，引导村民种植速生桉、发财树等[1]。
