横茶村是广东省茂名市信宜市水口镇辖下的行政村。据博雅地名网所载村情资料（未注明年份），全村设11个村民小组，在册1176户、5638人，总面积4.8平方千米，耕地2419亩[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来：原管理区办事处设在横茶自然村，因而叫横茶，1993年办事处迁到207国道旁的水井头村[1]。
建置沿革：民国后期属良垌中乡第六堡，其后解放初改为第六村，随后1952年与赤坎（第五村）合并为横茶村，再后1959年两村分开，接着1983年起改设乡一级政权，又其后几经改称，其后1999年起定名横茶村民委员会[1]。
荣誉：2023年4月入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位名单」；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
经济[edit]
村里的主要经济作物是香蕉和水稻，特色是花盆生产[1]。据村情资料，上一年全村经济总收入约2000多万元；村里整合资源，把45座花盆窑合并为22座，两年内引进企业3家，吸纳就业300多人[1]。
