里坑村是高州市古丁镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网所记，最早来此定居的是杨、李两姓，人少，各住一侧；村里地势开阔平坦，中间有一条坑，“李”与“里”同音，便定名里坑。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时里坑与大朋同属大朋乡；公社化时设大朋大队，体制下放时里坑才从中分出，另设大队。其后依次变为乡（1983年）、农村管理区（1986年）和村民委员会（1999年），名称始终是里坑。^[1]
