乌石村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇，位于榕江之滨，南与河溪镇毗邻，面积1.185平方千米，有2656人、480户[1]。村倚山而建，村前有一块黑色龟形大石，村名因此而来[2]。

历史与现状[edit]

清康熙年间（1662—1722年），祖先到此建村，名乌石村；1949年划归桑田乡，1958年起叫乌石大队，隶属西胪公社，1983年起叫乌石乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。

村内有龟石公园。2013年村集体收入5万元，农民年人均收入5487元；2019年9月，乌石村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
