历史沿革[edit]
村落濒临榕江，先人定居后在海滩上耕作，因此得名[2]。南宋端平三年（1236年）祖先到此建村；1950年起叫海田村，隶属桑田乡，1960年起叫海田农业生产大队，隶属西胪公社，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。百度百科记西胪境内的龙仔村，即今海田村[3]。
经济与名胜[edit]
2013年村集体收入32.16万元，农民年人均收入5863元，经济以农业和建筑业为主；村内有龙光寺、贞姑亭[1]。
