西凤村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇东北部，榕江西南岸，牛田洋西侧，以李姓为主，别称凤山李[1][3]。面积8.038平方千米，有15513人、2930户[1]；百度百科记2024年人口普查数为17334人[3]。
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记村建于洪武二十八年（1395年），百度百科记为洪武十八年（1385年）[1][3]；元代已有人在此居住的记载[1]。因境内两座小山形似双凤，称凤山，有庄、李、郑三姓各居一方，分为凤山庄、凤山李、凤山郑三村。1956年凤山李一名变为凤一，1959年起叫凤西，1969年定名西凤[1]。村中存有元代「自古山寨」摩崖石刻和古寨遗址[3]。
村名由来另有一说：先祖李文政自福建晋江来潮阳任教，期满后在凤山之西立墓，故名[2]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
经济以农业和建筑业为主，耕地4500亩（含塭田1300亩）；在外施工企业十余家、队伍80多支，在外从事建筑业者4000余人；2013年村集体收入292万元，农民年人均收入6479元[1]。2024年1月，西凤村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」[1]。
