地名与历史[edit]
村创于明洪武年间（1368—1398年），初名镇侯，潮汕话中「镇侯」与「店后」谐音；一说村前原有客店，故称店后[1][2]。1951年划归外八乡，1952年划归镇平乡，1961年编为生产大队，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。
经济[edit]
耕地约1317亩、山地约6759亩，以水稻和果树种植为主；2013年村集体收入92.6万元，农民年人均收入5023元[1]。
