地名与历史[edit]
村落处在宽阔低洼地的东侧，初名洋东，也叫洋中。1951年在寨东开挖一条排洪、灌溉用的潮水沟，改名东潮，寓有奋发向上、家乡更美之意；1954年起叫东潮村，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1][2]。
经济[edit]
以农业为主，种水稻，也种荷兰豆；2013年村集体收入23万元，农民年人均收入5860元[1]。百度百科记该村曾被定为省级贫困村，2019年的人均可支配收入是15863.93元[3]。
