历史沿革[edit]

张、苏、莫、林、周、李、陈、宋、石、何等姓迁入。新中国成立初设东坑行政村，之后改称东坑生产大队。[1]

1958年归罗旁人民公社；1983年归罗旁区公所，并设乡人民政府；1987年归罗旁镇人民政府，改为村委会；1989年成为管理区，1999年重新称东坑村民委员会；2003年9月起属建城镇人民政府。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，东坑村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2019年10月，东坑村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
