南坑村在企石镇西北面，西侧与石排镇的下沙、福隆庄两村为邻，南侧与横沥镇的水边村相接，是企石、石排、横沥三镇的交界处。村庄立于1579年。[1]

村辖区面积约2.1平方千米，常住人口1165人，下设王屋、梁屋、李屋三个自然村。东莞抗战时期，南坑是一处革命老区。2022年10月，南坑村入选淘宝村名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1579年立村。1951年隶属民主乡，乡内包括铁炉坑、企石、杨屋、莫屋、新村、霞朗和南坑。1954年成立初级社，1956年转为高级社，1957年并入大社，1958年9月组成人民公社。[1]

经济[edit]

企业合计25家（外资7家，其余为个体与民营），生产门类涵盖电子、塑料件、五金件、服装、印刷品和工艺品，电子与印刷两类较为突出。[1]
