海梧村在汕尾市城区红草镇埔边西北约10公里，东靠蟹地山，西临长沙湾，由海头、南坑、竹山等自然村组成，2009年总人口2630人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
人民公社化期间称海梧大队，“文化大革命”期间梧围分出，海头、竹山、南坑仍为海梧大队，属红草公社；其管理区在1989年设立，村委会则在1999年成立。[1]
经济[edit]
以农业为主，兼营渔业；西边的养殖基地以鱼塭养殖为主，是镇渔业养殖基地之一。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的广东省民主法治示范村（社区）2018年度创建名单中有该村；2020年12月获“2020年广东省卫生村”称号；2026年1月被列为广东省“百千万工程”典型村（第二批）。[1]
