南坑村属博罗县观音阁镇。据村情记载，先民从五华县大田迁来打铁，故旧称打铁寮，清末叫岚坑，民国起叫南坑。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
张氏先祖嘉庆年间定居时，此地归博罗县埠鹅镇管。民国时随观音阁镇划给河源县，建国初年划回博罗，设南坑大队（1959年隶观音阁人民公社）。其后，1983年大队隶区公所，1987年改管理区，1999年成立南坑村民委员会。2024年3月，南坑村命名为广东省卫生村（2023年度）。[1]
