龙城村在河台镇东北方向，距镇区约5公里，博雅地名网称其是河台镇最偏远的村之一。[1]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村山地约15000多亩，水田700多亩，辖24个村民小组，人口2100多。村子从头到尾长12公里，村民赞助集资、在交通部门和镇政府支持下修成水泥路。山上种玉桂、沙糖桔，水田种水稻和佛手。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前隶高要一区；1952年划归廊源乡，1956年划归都权乡，1958年划归乐城公社，设龙城、半迳两个大队，1959年划归河台公社，不久两个大队合并为龙城大队；1983年更名称龙城乡，1987年更名称龙城村委会，1989年更名称龙城管理区，1998年更名村民委员会。[2]
