历史沿革[edit]
村在梅南镇南部，由许多山坑组成，所以叫南坑。[1]
明代隶程乡县万安都，清代隶嘉应州龙文堡。1912年隶梅县龙文堡，1931年分隶梅县第八、九区，1941年隶第二区龙文乡，1950年划归梅南区，1956年隶梅南乡，1958年划入梅南人民公社；1987年设南坑管理区，1999年改称南坑村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
梅南镇概况说，镇里有「砍不尽南坑竹」的说法，南坑是毛竹专业村。[2]
