地名由来与沿革[edit]
相传清朝中期，杨氏兄弟数人从车田嶂背来此狩猎，见林木茂密、水源充足，便定居下来。村位于嶂背之南，故名南坑。[1]
南坑在1958年为黎咀公社南坑大队。1980年起划归枫树坝公社；其后改为村委会，1990年又设管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]
