荣誉[edit]

2016年10月，东村入选第五批广东省古村落名单。2022年10月，东村被列入第六批中国传统村落。2024年3月，东村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2024年4月，东村入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。2025年3月，东村被命名为第七届全国文明村镇。[1]

文旅[edit]

西岸镇政府2023年的报告称，东村以古村、古道、进士文化和农产品采集等为元素发展文旅，已申报成功「广东省文化和旅游特色村」「广东省乡村研学旅行特色村」等称号，又是国家级古村落，并依托国家3A级旅游景区「东村之恋」推动共同富裕试点村建设。[2]
