南坑村是广东省清远市英德市连江口镇的一个行政村，位于连江口南面，距镇政府约7公里[1]。村名因驻地在南坑口而得[2]。

博雅地名网所载人口3600人（年份未注），共38条自然村，耕地1998亩，主要作物为砂糖桔和笋竹，其中砂糖桔已成规模种植[1]。

沿革[edit]

1949年，此处分属民主村人民政府、南坑人民政府和田白村人民政府，当时归黎溪镇管辖。1950年组建南坑乡人民政府，此后1958年编为大队，1969年纳入连江口公社管理，1983年又成南坑乡，1986年转村委会，1990年为管理区，1998年10月7日改设为村委会[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予南坑村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号[1]。2023年5月，双孖楼村、塘头村、新屋村被评为「2022年广东省卫生村」[1]。
