村子位于镇东部，村域大部分由许多坑组成，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年设乡政府。1964年与长东乡合并，次年从中分出，另设东坑大队。1983年，又设东坑乡政府；1986年起为村委会，1989年起为管理区，1999年村委会重设。[1]

特产、规划与荣誉[edit]
