东坑社区是汕尾市陆河县东坑镇的社区，属镇中心区，镇政府所在的圩镇一带即在其内。[1] 当地的地名说法是：东坑旧称东里，位于历史悠久的河田圩以东，境内有河（当地人称河为“坑”），所以叫东坑。[1]
