新兴村是兴宁市刁坊镇的行政村，在镇政府东面约1公里，辖11个村民小组，442户、2038人，面积约3.5平方公里，耕地1425亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村子原属瑶岗大队，分出后新立一个大队，所以叫新兴[1]。1954年至1958年属瑶岗乡，1958年至1960年为瑶岗大队，1961年从中分出四联、建兴、新兴三个大队，1984年至1987年称新兴乡，1987年4月称新兴村，1989年9月改称管理区，1999年4月称村委会[1]。

村里主要种水稻，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入1423万元[1]。
