红光村是兴宁市刁坊镇的行政村，距镇政府约2.5公里，辖16个村民小组，325户、1596人，面积约2.3平方公里，耕地790亩[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，取保卫红色江山之意，改称红光村[1]。1951年至1960年先后属大桥乡、大桥大队；1961年起自立为红光大队，1984年成红光乡，1987年4月设红光村，1989年9月改称管理区，1999年4月设村委会[1]。
经济[edit]
村里主要种水稻，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入1277万元；红光村获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号，由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会于2017年10月授予[1]。
