向阳村是兴宁市福兴街道下辖的行政村，位于街道西南部，辖19个村民小组。村名来自“文革”时神光山一度改称向阳山。[1]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

村内有神光山，“文革”期间山名改为向阳山，村也以此为名。[1]向阳原属墨池大队，1979年分出后设向阳大队，1984年又回归墨池乡；2004年11月，与墨池村一同由刁坊镇划入福兴。[1][2]

荣誉与人口[edit]

2017年10月，向阳村被授予第一批广东省卫生村；2019年9月，又进入广东省2018年民主法治示范村（社区）的创建单位名单。村内在册414户、1800人，总面积2.1平方千米。[1]
