墨池村是兴宁市福兴街道下辖的行政村，位于街道西部，辖44个村民小组，因村内靠山处的墨池寺而得名。[1]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
村里靠山的地方有墨池寺，村因此叫墨池。[1]1949年是墨池村农会，1950至1957年为大队，1963至1986年为乡，之后设管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1]2004年11月，墨池村由刁坊镇划入福兴。[2]
墨池寺[edit]
墨池寺在神光山脚，寺旁石泉相传是宋代罗孟郊少年习字洗砚之处。该寺于1980年10月31日列入兴宁市重点文保单位。[3]
人口[edit]
村内在册580户、2400人，总面积1.9平方千米，耕地302亩（据博雅地名网）。[1]
