历史沿革[edit]
1965年10月以前归渔涝公社进民大队管辖；当月七星人民公社成立，1970年分出向阳大队；1984至1986年设向阳乡人民政府，1987年改称村委会。[2]
1970年从进民大队分出时定名向阳，寓意一心向党。[3]
地理环境[edit]
地处边远山区，被列为河儿口镇的革命老区。[1]山上种八角、野山椒，水田种稻。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，向阳村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
