新兴村在华城镇东南部，与转水镇相邻，总面积10.2平方公里。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村名取自解放后的「新生」之意，如新生儿降生，一切从头开始。1949年划在五华县第三区；1958年是华城人民公社所辖华城管理区里的新兴大队，1961年起直属华城人民公社；1984年5月，华城乡下设新兴管理区；1999年改设村委会。[1]

村辖23个村民小组，页面所载在册798户、3653人，耕地1626亩。另在2019年9月被省里列为2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
