观源村位于华城镇东部，水华线与高速公路出口一带；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，北宋年间（1102年至1106年）建村时，一尊观音像被洪水冲入河中，被人拾起后安放在宫下汤屋，村名叫观音；新中国成立后将「音」改为「源」，寓意饮水思源。[1]
沿革[edit]
1949年前曾称观源乡；1958年人民公社时命名观源大队；六十年代末曾一分为三，即丰林、和平、深源三个大队；八十年代合并，设观源乡政府，1988年改称管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
概况与荣誉[edit]
村辖20个村民小组，页面所载在册969户、4011人，耕地1300亩，土地总面积6.5平方公里。2023年2月评上五华县的2022年度文明村镇。[1]
