城东村位于华城镇东部，紧邻墟镇，2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，村地处华城镇东部并紧邻墟镇，故名城东。1981年，禾岭、梅塘、银桂三个大队合在一起，成立城东管理区；1999年管理区取消，改称城东村民委员会。[1]
概况与荣誉[edit]
村辖17个村民小组，页面所载在册712户、2503人，耕地333亩，土地总面积1.6平方公里。2023年2月评上五华县的2022年度文明村镇。[1]
