红星村是梅县区畲江镇的行政村，因1954年成立红星初级农业社得名，村内凤凰山脚下有商周时期的遗址。[1]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

1954年夏，李兰英在这里办起红星初级农业社，村名由此而来。[1]

据博雅地名网，唐代，这里隶属程乡县万安乡；民国时归梅县畲坑；1954年划入畲江区，1958年并入畲江人民公社，1983年复归畲江区；此后1987年起设管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

凤凰山遗址在凤凰山脚下，属商周时期，1982年发现。出土陶器有釜、罐、钵，石器有斧、锛、凿、刀、戈、矛、镞等。[1]

荣誉[edit]

红星村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单于2019年9月公布；2026年1月，被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
