公和村是梅县区畲江镇的行政村，由虾公潭、义和楼两村合并而成，属镇中心区。[1]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
村名来自两处旧村名各取一字：从前有一个水潭，潭边的石形似虾公，所以这里叫虾公潭村；1962年虾公潭与义和楼两村合称公和村。[1]
1949年这一带设义松乡，1964年改作公和大队，1987年改为管理区，1999年改设村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内牛轭岭有周代的陶窑遗址，窑为馒头形，残长1.9米、残高0.6米，周围散布印纹陶片，纹样以夔纹、云雷纹、篦点纹和方格纹为主。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
公和村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单于2019年9月公布。[1]
