赤岭村是梅县区畲江镇的行政村，村名的由来与山岭和抗日时期的赤卫队有关。[1]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，此地山岭多、土壤肥沃，抗日时期又有红军赤卫队活动，村名由此而来。1966年立赤岭大队，1984年改设赤岭乡，1987年起设管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。[1]
赤岭村列入广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，名单于2019年9月公布。[1]
