历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，设立时有南、北之分，村委会设在南社村。[1]

1984年以南社村为主，与北社村、蔡家村、妈宫村设立南社乡政府；1987年3月据惠东府函〔1987〕23号批复定名南社村委会；1992年8月南社、北社、妈宫三村合并为管理区，因南社人口占多数，取名南社管理区；1998年改设村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，南社村被列为「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
