横河镇是广东省惠州市博罗县西北部的镇，位于罗浮山北麓，距博罗县城约25公里，辖1个社区和18个行政村。[1]全镇面积232.88平方千米，在博罗县各镇（街道）中居第3位；第七次全国人口普查（2020年）时常住人口约2.22万人。[2]镇名来自一段名为「横河」的河道。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载地方资料，今日横河一带的居民，最早是曾、刘、谭三姓，约在南宋末年（公元1210年前后）分别从五华长乐、兴宁和惠阳等地迁来，起初聚居在十字巷，后来分散到屯仔、刘学等处。[1]镇上坎尾坳一带发现过十多座古墓，被考证为隋代墓葬群，由此推测南北朝或更早时已有人在此居住，但这些居民的来历与去向已无从查考。[1]

元代至清代，这里属善政巡检司署的横河约。[2]1938年，博罗县划分区乡，横河归第九区，称智勇乡。[1][2]1945年7月，县内第一个红色政权在此建立。[2]新中国成立后，1949年10月一度划为第四区，次年又归第九区。[2]此后的变动依次是：撤区并乡（1955年11月）；设横河人民公社（1958年10月）；1983年改社为区；1986年改区为镇，沿用至今。[2]原来属郭石乡的郭前一带，是1958年成立公社时才划入横河的。[1]

同一资料记载，2000年时全镇下设1个居委会、1个镇属林场和17个行政村，村民小组121个，合计5585户、25217人，有78个姓氏。[1]

地理环境[edit]

横河镇北邻龙门县路溪镇、麻榨镇，东接博罗县的柏塘镇、响水镇，南隔显岗水库望湖镇，西抵长宁镇。[1]境内地势北高南低，四周群山环绕，整体呈盆状，属亚热带山地丘陵区；年平均气温21.6摄氏度，年均降水量1848.4毫米。[1]

古时所称的「横河」，只是一小段河道：从北面河口村（河肚、何家、黄竹三条山溪在此汇合）起，笔直向南到横河关村，长仅4.9公里；过了横河关，河道改称沙河，曲折向西南经石湾注入东江。[1]这段河道水深面宽，在旧县志的附图上看去像一片湖。[1]旧时陆路不便，货物以水运为主，每逢圩日约有五十艘货船从石龙溯江而上，所以有「响水桥头响水响，横河沙上横河横」的说法。[1]1959年修建显岗水库后，对外水运被截断，改走公路：一条市道通往湖镇，一条县道通往长宁，一条县道通往上河村并接龙门麻榨一带。[1]

人口民族[edit]

镇内以本地话为主，其次是客家话；横河关以西原属郭石乡的村子讲「贫婆话」。[1]嶂背畲族村的居民讲畲语，该村是博罗县唯一的少数民族行政村。[1][3]据该资料，1978年全公社户籍人口为22220人，1995年为24549人，增长缓慢，原因是外来迁入者很少，每年又有不少人外迁。[1]

荣誉[edit]

在林业方面，横河镇于2006年被省林业厅批为森林小镇示范镇，2017年又获认定为当年的广东省森林小镇。[2]在旅游方面，它列入广东省文化和旅游厅2021年1月公布的第二批旅游风情小镇；镇内郭前村则在2020年8月进入第二批全国乡村旅游重点村名单。[2][4]
