老圩村是横河镇的行政村，位于镇中心附近，属镇乡结合区；村名的意思是旧日的圩镇所在。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村落形成于1566年：那一年横河镇的中心市场迁走，原来的圩址上聚居了来自南部的移民，因这里原是圩镇，称老圩。[1]1999年3月起称老圩村民委员会，此前1986年叫横河镇老圩管理区，1983年11月叫横河区老圩乡，1958年10月是横河公社的老圩大队。更早，新中国成立后它归第四区横河乡，民国时期则属第九区智勇乡八保。[1]
荣誉[edit]
老圩村是2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），也在2021年12月获得广东省卫生村称号，2026年1月成为省内第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
